We will be reading, analyzing and discussing news articles supplied by the instructor. The articles will come from newspapers such as New York Times/London Times/Chicago Tribune/Washington Post, magazines such as News Week and from the Internet. A few questions pertaining to that day's topic will be asked by the instructor to start off the class. Then the students will get into small groups and we will read the article in class, emphasizing on proper pronunciation. Once the article has been read, we will go over any and all difficult vocabulary. Students will then have lively group discussions pertaining to that day's topic for the remainder of the class. Each week will be a different topic. Also, depending on the students, it may be more enjoyable for them to bring in their own short articles to share with the rest of the class.
